IDM8 Electric Linear Actuator
The IDM8 electric linear actuator has a compact design for industrial applications. The units are fitted with high quality 12v DC, 24v DC or 48v DC motors for long term reliability.
The IDM8 linear actuator comes in 3 variations: The IDM8-20BE , fitted with a high efficiency Acme Screw. The IDM8-21BE, fitted with a high efficiency ball screw, with the option of limit switches on certain specifications. Finally, the IDM8-22BE, again fitted with a high efficiency ball screw and capable of loads of up to 10,000N (1000KG). As well as being able handle dynamic loads of up to 10,000N, all IDM8 variants have a static load of 14,000N (1400kg).
For enhanced control, the IDM8 can be fitted with hall sensor feedback, potentiometer feedback or absolute analogue position output. For even more advanced control the IDM8 can also be integrated into CANbus control systems.

There are three versions of the IDM8 available. The IDM8-20BE which is fitted with an acme screw, the IDM8-21BE fitted with a ball screw and finally the IDM8-22BE which is also fitted with a ball screw but allows for higher loads of up to 10,000N.
The IDM8 can be fitted with no feedback, a potentiometer, Hall sensors or an absolute analogue output. As well as this newer units can also be controlled by CAN bus.
The IDM8 has a static load capacity of 14,000N, this means that unless this force is exceeded the actuator will not back drive.
IDM8 actuators are used in numerous applications such as, cellar door hatches, tilt bed trailers, marine applications, military applications and agricultural applications.
